About Me

I am a high school principal at Celina High School in Ohio.  In my 5th year as principal and 11th in education, I am beginning to see a major shift in education.  When I started as a high school math teacher at Maumee High School, the veteran teachers told me students had changed -- they were not the same as they were 5 years earlier.  Today, we could say the same!  Students are different, their needs are different, their learning styles are different, and consequently, we need to teach differently.

My passion lies in how we educate students.  I love technology, I enjoy tweeting & blogging, I talk a lot about 21st Century Skills -- but ultimately, I see and use these as tools for ENGAGING students.  None of these things alone will fix education.  Only educators & students can fix education.

Networking with other professionals is one of the most important tasks we can undertake as educators.  Anyone wishing to talk to me about anything on this blog or education related, please feel free to contact me by leaving a comment on my blog (I read them all!) or tweeting me (@CelinaPrincipal).
